Ajivika (nāstika or “heterodox” schools of ancient Indian philosophical movement) and Buddhism Religion Rock Cut Ancient Cave, dating back to 245 BCE, during the reign of Emperor Ashoka Maurya (c. 268 BCE– c. 232 BCE), 3rd ruler of Mauryan Empire from Erstwhile Magadha Kingdom.

Location: Vadathika Cave, part of Nagarjuna Caves, Situated on Barabar Hills in Makhdumpur Block, Jehanabad District, Bihar State, India.

 

Buddhism Religion Rock Cut Ancient Cave, Consists of single rectangular room with polished surfaces, contains inscription which could be dated to 245 BCE. during the tenure of Emperor Ashoka Maurya (c. 268 CE– c. 232 BCE), 3rd ruler of Mauryan Empire from Erstwhile Magadha Kingdom.

Location: Karan Chaupar (Karna Chaupar) Cave, Situated on Barabar Hills in Makhdumpur Block, Jehanabad District, Bihar State, India.
